Mock Hearing: Individual Paper
Guide lines are below and
the case that the paper is based on is in the attached pictures. I agree with
the court's ruling.
Individual Paper (15 points): All members of Groups A and B will be assigned the same
case (Case 1) and all members of Groups C and D will be assigned the same case (Case 2).
For the assigned case, each student will submit a five- to seven-page paper containing the
following elements:
a. Brief summary of the facts of the case
b. A discussion of the ethical dilemma and any relevant ethical codes and case laws
c. Research that includes at least one other case that addresses the same issue
d. A summary of both the plaintiff's and the defendant's position
e. The student's personal estimation of the case (the student may agree or disagree
with the actual case outcome) along with a rationale supported by specific,
applicable ASCA codes
f. A current event to which this case law and its relevant ethical codes can be
applied
